Arbiter Block Misconception
When you decline a game in Arbiter, it automatically adds a block to your calendar. This is how Arbiter is inherently set up.
MYTH DEBUNKED: The block only applies to the assigner who initially assigned the game, not to all your assigners.
For instance, if you decline one of my assignments, you will still appear available to Ken Diamond, Nuf, Rob King, Mike Conlin, Brian Smith, Randy Pell, and others.
Only OKConf 103688 assigners will be able to see those decline blocks.
Please be aware that if you decline a game, only OKConf 103688 can see the resulting block.
Consequently, there's no need to request the removal of these blocks since your availability remains visible to all your other assigners.
Arbiter Post Season Note:
If you tell MHSAA you are open to work districts/post-season (you opt in) and you are assigned a regular season game on a potential district date, MHSAA will assign over any assignment since you "opt-ed in". You just need to email the local assigner and they will take you off the game due to your district assignment.
No need to turnback a game to keep your schedule open for districts/post-season. MHSAA will go over anything if you opt in.
