1) You will need to register HERE with MSHAA for the sport. ((Required - Complete after June 5th 2025))
Follow the link, then click the red box that says “New Official Registration”.

2) Fill out this OK Conference Registration: CLICK HERE – ((Required))
3) Join a local sports association: They will help train you with meetings and on court scrimmages. ((Required))
If you live in Greater GR & Holland: WMOA
If you Live In Grand Haven, Muskegon and North: USAOA or MMOA (or both)
4) ArbiterSports: The assigning software we use for you to receive games to officiate. Once you register with MSHAA and a Sports Association and are approved, you will be added to the system and you will send a welcome email from arbiter. Just follow the prompts in the welcome email to set up your account. Then block the days you cannot work. Here is the link to block the dates you cannot work - very customizable.
5) Basketball Play Dates:
High School sub varsity games are T/Th typically 4:00p or 5:30p starts
High School Varsity are T/F typically 6 or 7p starts
Middle School M/W typically 4p starts.
6) Basketball Uniform Requirements: Black and White Striped Shirt, Black Pants, All Black Shoes, All Black Socks, Black Whistle (Fox40 brand only). Shirts and Pants Can be found at: Correct Call All others can be found on: Amazon or local stores.

Saturday tournaments usually 8/8:30 am starts. Usually end around 3:30/4:30p.
6) High School Uniform Requirements: White or Cyan Blue MHSAA Shirt, Black Pants, All Black Shoes, All Black Socks, All Black Belt, Black Whistle (Fox40 brand), Red and Yellow Cards, Pressure Gauge and Pump, Net Chain - For Measurement, Wrist watch, ½ dollar Coin, 3x5 Note cards, Mechanical Pencil or Pen. Line Judge Flags (optional for 1st year but recommended for future).
